K4Health Toolkits are electronic collections of carefully selected information resources on a particular topic for health policy makers, program managers, and service providers. This toolkit contains materials for advocacy, training, client counseling, program implementation, and learning from country experiences.

Recent evidence shows that birth-to-pregnancy intervals of less than 24 months increase risks for child mortality and child undernutrition (stunting and underweight). MIYCN and FP programs and services can address these issues and are mutually beneficial for mothers and their children.

Areas of intersection include:

  • Exclusive Breastfeeding and use of Lactational Amenorrhea Method (LAM)
  • Complementary Feeding With Breastfeeding and use of Modern Family Planning Method
  • Healthy Spacing of Pregnancies

The toolkit can be found on the K4Health website here.
