24 May 2013 This week in Melbourne, Australia, MCHIP presented at the International Council of Nurses 25th Quadrennial Congress. ICN’s mission is to “ensure quality nursing care for all and sound health policies globally.” As such, this year’s Congress stressed the importance of the role of nurses in improving access to and equity of health care for communities and individuals.

25 January 2013 Applying the Standards-Based Management and Recognition (SBM-R) quality improvement approach in Model Maternities and cervical cancer prevention health facilities in Mozambique has been a challenge. The health workers shoulder a heavy workload and there was resistance to implementing a new methodology or approach.

An article in the journal "Midwifery" evaluates the impact of a quality improvement initiative in Malawi on reproductive health service quality and related outcomes.
