Oniyire Adetiloye from MCHIP/Nigeria led a round table discussion at the 38th Annual International Conference on Global Health in Washington, DC on the success of integrating PMTCT services and maternal and child health services in twelve hospitals in the state of Zamfara, Nigeria. Results from the analysis of the project determined that integration of these two services resulted in:

• Improved ANC attendance
• Increased counseling and testing for HIV during pregnancy
• Increased uptake of family planning services in all 12 hospitals
• Improvement in immunization service uptake and hospital deliveries
• Accessibility to more services at one facility in a coordinated manner
• Reduced stress and cost for the clients
