Community Health Workers Performance at Scale Technical Advisory Group Meeting

What is new? What is on the horizon?
What do we know from national experience?
What are the big questions we have as implementers?
How can we help?

These were some of the important questions raised and discussed at a recent Technical Advisory Group meeting on the topic of Community Health Workers (CHWs) Performance at Scale. Convened by MCHIP to advance the field of practice and support quality community-based work, the group included representatives from USAID, URC, UNICEF, World Relief, World Vision, HCI, MSH, CORE Group, Johns Hopkins School of Public Health and Food for the Hungry.

A number of valuable presentations were made and experiences shared that will contribute to a learning agenda for a community of practice around CHWs at scale.

These include:

Improving Community Health Worker Programs

Thoughts from Key Informants

Global Health Workforce Alliance (GWHA)

Summary of Rwanda CHW Program

Female Community Health Program in Nepal

Rapid scale-up of community health workers in Ethiopia

What are Care Groups?

Let us continue the discussion and connect our various efforts on behalf of community health work into the New Year!
