Medical Male Circumcision — A Personal Tale


The July 24th online "Science Speaks" included Angelo Kaggwa's personal story of undergoing voluntary medical male circumcision. A 29-year-old Ugandan and a program coordinator with AVAC, Kaggwa spoke to an audience gathered for an MCHIP-hosted International AIDS Conference satellite symposium entitled "Call to Action for Voluntary Medical Male Circumcision for HIV Prevention" on 23 July.

He is quoted as saying: “Since telling my story about being circumcised, nine of my friends and family have been circumcised.”
