MCHIP works in close coordination and collaboration with global partners including Roll Back Malaria, the World Health Organization, UNICEF and the President's Malaria Initiative to review evidenced-based practices, develop global tools to support country-level implementation, and make recommendations to advance malaria prevention and control efforts. MCHIP’s Director Co-Chairs the Roll Back Malaria (RBM) Malaria in Pregnancy (MIP) working group, which has contributed to: greater recognition among the global community to continue to address MIP programming in both high and low malaria transmission settings; improved understanding of the importance of strengthening focused antenatal care services to improve MIP outcomes; and dissemination of best practices and lessons learned in MIP programming. MCHIP also serves as the Secretariat for the Community Case Management (CCM) Task Force. As Secretariat and as a technical member of the Task Force, MCHIP has contributed to the development of: 1) a CCM tool kit that includes programmatic and technical resources to support introduction, implementation and scale up efforts at country level; and 2) CCM indicators for effective program monitoring.
